result, have the following vacancies within Intellectual Disability
Services:
TEAM LEADER
NAVAN AND DRUMCONRATH DAY SERVICE, NAVAN, CO. MEATH
Navan Day Service currently provides a New Directions led day service
to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism and/or complex
needs. The service promotes activate participation, community
inclusion, choice, control and support to progress needs of further
education and employment. Each service user has programmes devised
from their individual needs in which they are working towards
progressing towards or meeting their outcomes. These needs include the
needs of empowerment in which we aim to develop each service user?s
awareness on areas such as advocacy, safeguarding and their individual
support plans in a format suitable to their communication needs.
Individual daily activity plans are person centred and meaningful with
a combination of both in scheme and community activities. The main
target group has been school leavers but is available to all adults
with a range of needs. The service is led by service user needs and
also offers the opportunity to avail of an outreach and in reach
service
